Technical Information
The following papers and CanWEA conference posters prepared by experts at McMaster University in 2007 provide detailed information on the initial operating performance of Cleanfield VAWTs. Their performance has since been significantly enhanced through R & D and continuous improvements.

Wind Power Production in the Urban Environment

Performance Testing of a Small VAWT

CFD Simulation of Dynamic Thrust and Radial Forces on a VAWT Blade

Vibration Analysis of a VAWT Blade

 Experimental Measurement of Noise Production

Small-scale VAWT Blade Optimization Through Numerical Modeling Techniques

Performance Analysis of VAWTs in the Urban Environment

Boundary Layer Flow Investigations on Small-scale VAWTs

Specifications
The technical specifications of Cleanfield’s 3kW vertical axis wind turbine will be available soon.

Product Certification
Cleanfield’s inverter was tested and determined to be in compliance with UL 1741-Standard for Inverters, Converters, Controllers and Interconnection System Equipment for Use with Distributed Energy Resources. The testing was done by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) International, which is accredited by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) of the US Department of Labor as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). This was the first certification for a back-to-back wind inverter/converter by CSA International in this power range using our topology.

Installation Manual
The installation manual for a Cleanfield 3kW VAWT will be available soon.
